Gerber AIO cloth diaper!?

So I'm here to spread the word about #makingclothmainstream. I recently stumbled upon the Gerber All-In-One Reusable cloth diaper on Gerber's website. Gerber is known for having not so good prefolds that most moms only use as burp cloths or dust rags. I was lucky enough to be able to try out this new addition to the cloth diapering world.

This diaper comes in 3 sizes, Small (8-18 lbs), Medium (16-28 lbs), and Large (22-37 lbs) and 4 colors, Blue, Pink, Orange and Sage. It retails for $12.99 and comes with an extra insert for added absorbency. It says that it's an AIO but to me it's more like a pocket AIO hybrid. According to Gerber's website:

Gerber All-in-One Diaper with Insert Starter Set is innovatively designed to be less bulky and easy for moms to use. Easily adjusts to perfectly fit your baby. Ideal for everyday and nighttime use. Gerber's diaper system is reusable, sustainable and affordable.

I was pleasantly surprised with this diaper. I didn't have any leaks even with my heavy wetter wearing during nap time. I absolutely love how trim this diaper is. I tried out a Medium and Large because my son was on between sizes. I think that this would be a good option for smaller babies. The only complaint I have is the hook and loop closures. This doesn't come in a snap option. I found the hook and loop to wear out quickly. The more it was worn the less it stuck. Also, my 16 month old figured out how to take off the diaper. That can be remedied with a onesie or pants. I find the diaper to curl up when washed and the back seam to stick to the hook and loop.
These are currently only available online through Gerber and Target. Hopefully they will have these available in stores soon. Even with a few bumps I was extremely surprised and happy with this diaper.

****Disclosure: I received this product free from Gerber for testing purposes. My review is my honest opinion on the use of this product.
