Gerber AIO cloth diaper!?

So I'm here to spread the word about #makingclothmainstream. I recently stumbled upon the Gerber All-In-One Reusable cloth diaper on Gerber's website. Gerber is known for having not so good prefolds that most moms only use as burp cloths or dust rags. I was lucky enough to be able to try out this new addition to the cloth diapering world.

This diaper comes in 3 sizes, Small (8-18 lbs), Medium (16-28 lbs), and Large (22-37 lbs) and 4 colors, Blue, Pink, Orange and Sage. It retails for $12.99 and comes with an extra insert for added absorbency. It says that it's an AIO but to me it's more like a pocket AIO hybrid. According to Gerber's website:

Gerber All-in-One Diaper with Insert Starter Set is innovatively designed to be less bulky and easy for moms to use. Easily adjusts to perfectly fit your baby. Ideal for everyday and nighttime use. Gerber's diaper system is reusable, sustainable and affordable.

Product Details

  • Diaper shell: 100% polyester interlock with urethane laminate backing; Absorbent lining: 65% polyester/35% rayon; Liner fabric: 100% cotton TRANSdry
  • Innovative Trans dry technology woven into lining pulls moisture away from baby's skin
  • A unique, double-gusseted leg design and an inner elastic waistband with quick and simple closures to help prevent leaks
  • Easy on/off design, Waterproof cover keeps baby's clothes dry
  • Less bulky for trimmer fit
  • Machine wash warm - do not use fabric softeners, chlorine bleach or non-chlorine bleach; Tumble dry low - Do not use fabric dryer sheets; Do not iron; Recommend not to use with rash cream.

I was pleasantly surprised with this diaper. I didn't have any leaks even with my heavy wetter wearing during nap time. I absolutely love how trim this diaper is. I tried out a Medium and Large because my son was on between sizes. I think that this would be a good option for smaller babies. The only complaint I have is the hook and loop closures. This doesn't come in a snap option. I found the hook and loop to wear out quickly. The more it was worn the less it stuck. Also, my 16 month old figured out how to take off the diaper. That can be remedied with a onesie or pants. I find the diaper to curl up when washed and the back seam to stick to the hook and loop.
These are currently only available online through Gerber and Target. Hopefully they will have these available in stores soon. Even with a few bumps I was extremely surprised and happy with this diaper.

#BeginwithBen

So I tried a product from Uncle Ben's I received free for testing purposes. Honestly, it wasn't my favorite. It was was kind of earthy which isn't a flavor I like. I think I'll try a different flavor if I were to get it again.

#oreidaeasyfries

I have to say these are super easy and super tasty. These are perfect for a quick summer snack for kids or even yourself. I made them for my son and daughter and found myself eating off of their plate. They were that good.

COVERGIRL VoxBox #goBloom

I was lucky enough to receive the #CoverGirl VoxBox from #Influenster which features their brand new mascara LashBloom by LashBlast. It comes in a cute Barbie pink tube. The packaging is very girly.

I haven't been a fan of the other LashBlast mascaras in the past. I'm more of a Maybelline girl, however, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The brush was easy to handle and I no trouble applying a nice first coat to my lashes. I always curl my lashes because they have no natural curl.

I'll let the picture speak for it's self. I'm extremely happy with the results. #goBloom

Low Cost Cloth Diapering

I've been cloth diapering for over a month now. I decided to get a low cost option just in case it didn't work out. I decided to purchase the bumGenius Econobum Cloth Diaper Set which includes 3 One Size covers, 12 cotton prefolds and a wetbag. I found that toysrus.com had the best price $49.99 with free shipping. These diapers can go from newborn all the way up to about 30lbs. These are just a basic no frills diaper, but they do what they're supposed to.

Venus Snap VoxBox from Influenster

I recently received my VoxBox from Influenster and I'm pretty excited to share what I got and my experience. I received the new Venus Snap with Embrace on-the-go razor. It's super cute and easy to use. I love that it's small enough to fit in my purse and the case it comes in is sleep and smooth. I found that the tiny handle was not as sturdy as I was expecting but other than that I am vert happy with it. It's conceived especially for summer vacation. You can slip it in your purse and beach bag and take it anywhere.

What to get a 3 Month Infant for Easter?

When I my 2 year old daughter had her first Easter she was nearly 6 months old. My son on the other hand is only 3 months for his first official holiday, Easter. I tried not to overthink about what to put in his basket as he's so little he doesn't need much and he isn't going to remember. His basket actually turned out better than I thought and is actually for cute. Here's what he got:

1.) Easter themed Onesie that says "I'm ready for the hunt." $3.25, Walmart

2.) 2 Fisher Price rattles/teethers (one is an elephant and the other a lion). I'm not sure the exact price as I received these free when I created a baby registry, Target.

3.) A Baby's First Easter Stuffed Bunny. $3.50, Dollar General. I was unpleasantly surprised when I got home and seen the price of this. When I decided to pick this up, it was in a box labeled $1 with a bunch  of others just like it. Thank you DG for this because I wanted to spend an extra $2.50. Uh well.

The Easter grass and basket were given to me, FREE!

The chocolate bunny you see is for my daughter.

There you have it! Enjoy!
